We are in Tuscany, the best-known native grape variety in the world is Sangiovese. On the coast this blend adds to its typical aromas the notes deriving from the proximity of the sea which reaches with its breeze up to the hills of Suvereto. Our Spato 100% Sangiovese wine is designed to give a French touch to this native wine. Surprising for the freshness and delicacy of the tannin that envelops the palate. It reveals spicy notes that make it unique and make you want the next sip. Perfect pairing with: meat-based sauces, Florentine steak, and game.
PRODUCTION METHOD:
Manual harvest of the grapes, maceration in concrete tanks at a temperature of 24° for approximately 12 days, maturation in second passage French oak barriques for 12 months, refinement in bottle for at least other 12 months.
TASTING NOTES:
Ruby red, aromas of blackberry, raspberry, candied cherry and berry jam and violet emerge on the nose. Balsamic notes of rosemary, bay leaves and cloves. Strong tasting impact with soft and well integrated tannins, excellent persistence with balsamic return.
